Hi, I’m Bex and I love painting animals and want to share my work with you.
Life went a bit crazy for me at the start of the pandemic when I became a single parent.
I ordered some cheap paints off Amazon during lockdown and started experimenting with painting techniques following tutorials on YouTube.
The more I did it, the more I realised how much I enjoy it and need it as a break from all the chaos in the world.
As we started to come out of lockdown, and in my desperation to get back out into the world and actually speak to people again, I ran a few stalls at local craft fairs to see if there was any interest in the paintings I had created.
I was overwhelmed at people’s kind words and the interest in my work.
This built up my confidence and has led me to where I am today running my very own little business. I balance it now with the demands of my day job and being a parent
Some of my first pieces are paintings that I’m proud of and continue to sell in various product forms. However, I’ve learnt over time that I prefer to paint in bright colours to give my work some vibrancy and brighten up people’s days and their homes, so I ditched the drab and realistic colours of nature and started painting how I want to….and now of course I only paint using high grade watercolour paper and quality Windsor and Newton watercolour paints.
